Happy Halloween!

We had 39 kids visit our house tonight. It's about average, even though it was much colder than usual.

Now if we could only get rid of the nightmare of election ads.....

LIFE

Life has been pretty boring lately.

I am thinking about doing a weblog for Quotes Du Jour. Maybe I'll start it November 1. Or Maybe I'll wait until January 1, 2003.

Am I the only one tired of the no payments, no this, no that commericals? They rank right behind the political ads for irritation IMHO. Thankfully the political ads will end in 7 days. The others will just go on and on and on and on....

Paul Wellstone's memorial service was hijacked by the more radical elements of the DFL and turned partly into a political rally. Stupid idiots. Don't they realize that is exactly why people are apathetic about politics? The Us vs. Them mentality of party politics is the obstacle to true progress in our democracy. I'm sure Paul and Sheila Wellstone were miffed when Trent Lott and other Republicans were booed. *sigh* Then there is the excuse for it; "the Republicans would have done the same thing if the roles were reversed". So much for learning from the nobility and integrity of Senator Wellstone. I guess just because somebody else might do something, it justifies a first strike response. Does that sound like the whole Bush/Iraq thing or what?

Okay, Life hasn't been pretty boring lately, just very morose.
