Happy Birthday Mickey!

Mickey Mouse turns 75 today.

I really want to come up with some snide or sarcastic remark about the Disney Corporation, but it would take the edge off today's appreciation of the character's longevity.

Maybe someday we will really appreciate the difference between creativity and commerce, originality and repetitiveness, critical thought and dummy proofing.

But not today. Just light 75 candles on a cake and sing "Happy Birthday" to Mickey Mouse.
